The Galaxy Note Edge is the latest in the Samsung line to get the Android Marshmallow 6.0 update, according to the latest news.
The unlocked versions of the Galaxy Note Edge in Europe has already been pre-installed with the Android Marshmallow 6.0 update, Tech Radar noted.
In the US, T-Mobile subscribers has already been using the new update on their Note Edge tablets for quite some time now.
For those who are already using the Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS, they can already try the new features. For Lollipop users, the design will look very familiar but differe. There are some tweaks and changes that would really be a treat for Android fans.
For one, people can manage to unload some of the apps and boost their phone’s memory usage using a built-in feature. Second, they can prolong their battery life using optimization and also the Doze feature.
Another feature of the Android Marshmallow 6.0 update is the app standby which is also great to save the battery life, said the report.
One thing that might annoy some users is the security feature of the Android Marshmallow 6.0 where access by apps to some of your phone’s functions need permission from the user.
Aside from the Note Edge, other Samsung devices that have already rolled out the Android Marshmallow 6.0 are the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge and Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 4. Meanwhile, there’s no news yet on whether the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and the Galaxy Tab S will also get the update.
