If the latest rumors are anything to go by, the release of Apple’s next iteration of iPad Pro will happen in about two months. It is rumored that the upcoming big event of Apple this year will be the venue for the iPad Pro 2 to be unveiled, which will be joined by the formal release of its newest mobile operating system, the iOS 10.
According to the PC Advisor, there is a good possibility that the Cupertino-based tech giant will be unboxing the new iPad Pro model at the company’s next huge event this year, which will fall in September. Further supporting this rumor is last year’s schedule of release of the first iPad Pro, which also happened in September 2015. After a few months, the iPad Pro had a 9.7-inch variant which was released in March this year.
It is likely that the Apple event in September will also be used to release the new iPad Pro, and it is expected to be accompanied by the iOS 10, which has yet to be officially released. It can be noted that the iOS 10 was first introduced by Apple to the public during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016 held last month. With this, there is also a likelihood that the iPad Pro 2 will be sporting the latest iOS 10 system.
So far, the rumored specs of the iPad Pro 2 are impressive. As Yibada reported, the new iPad Pro is expected to match, or even surpass the features of the 9.7-inch variant of the first iPad Pro, sporting a 12-megapixel camera with the iSight capability. It is also expected to have at least 4K video recording and live photo captures. The front camera may be built in with 5 MP FaceTime HD camera with special retina flash. Perhaps the most interesting specs rumor is the iPad Pro 2 being powered by the latest A10X chipset. However, in this case, the iPad Pro 2 may also be delayed to a 2017 release.
The Motley Fool reported that the A10X chipsets might be manufactured around late 2016 or early 2017, thus delaying the release of the iPad Pro .
