Sony’s Xperia XA Ultra is now finally available for purchase in the U.S. via multiple online outlets including Amazon. The phone, which is the fourth and so far the latest device in the new Xperia X range that was announced earlier this year at Mobile World Congress at the end of February, was initially revealed just back in May, and was confirmed to be releasing in the U.S. market this Summer. Pre-orders of the device have been available for a little while now but this marks the first day of Sony’s plan to push the live sales of the phone alongside the other three handsets which U.S. consumers can already purchase.
The U.S. sales launch follows the launch of the device in India which went live yesterday, and it is expected that the sales of the phone will be live in Canada soon as it has been confirmed to launch in Canada this Summer. The Xperia XA Ultra is a step above the entry-level Xperia XA, coming in with a price tag of $369.99 which nets buyers a device that is equipped with a nearly borderless display just like with the Xperia XA, but it carries a larger sized screen as it measures at 6-inches.
The Sony Xperia XA Ultra is powered by a MediaTek HelioTM P10 octa-core processor which is paired with a Mali-T860 GPU for the graphics processing, as well as 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 200GB via the microSD card slot. On the back of the device the Xperia XA Ultra comes along with a main 21.5MP camera with hybrid autofocus, and a 16MP camera on the front with OIS, a smart selfie flash, and an 88-degree wide-angle lens for better selfie shots that can fit everyone in. It has a non-removable 2,700mAh battery inside and comes running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It will be available in three different colors, including Black, Lime Gold, and White. This is also an unlocked device meaning that it can be used with an GSM network, such as T-Mobile, AT&T, Metro PCS, Cricket Wireless, and more.
