The more, the merrier. That’s probably what Apple is trying to say with the rumored iPad Pros. A recent leak from Japanese source claims that there will be three brand new iPad Pros that might make you ask, “Is iPad Mini killed?”
Apple rumor: iPad Pro 2 in three sizes
The blogpost writing Apple rumor suggests that the upcoming iPad Pro will arrive in 12.9 inch, 10.5 inch and 7.9 inch, likely called iPad Mini Pro, Macotakara reported. The rumor corroborate analyst Ming Chi Kuo about the introduction of iPad Pro new variants but the sizes that Kuo mentions are not the same with Macotakara. Previously, Kuo’s verdict was 12.9-inch, 10.5-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2 models.

The 7.9-model has become a controversial rant that swirls through the web since Apple superfans question whether iPad Mini will be discontinued if the Pro rumor is to be believed. Moreover, the report from Macotakara also goes to the details – stating that the tablets will sport 12 MP iSight camera, True Tone display and quad speaker. Macotakara has also said that the iPad Pro will still have the headphone jack unlike iPhone 7.
As of the moment, Macotakara’s post has gone viral but the legitimacy might still be questioned. The news came two months after Kuo’s report showed up mentioning three iPad Pro variants.
Apple rumor: iPad Pro 2 release date
Many rumors point at 2017 release date. It makes sense since this year is the year for Macbook Pro 2016 that’s been long-awaited and is reportedly having a major overhaul. Hence, the most suitable time frame for iPad Pro and the Mini Pro launch date would be next year, 9to6Macreported.
All of the information should be taken with a grain of salt.
