Game Troopers have been releasing games on a variety of mobile operating systems for a while now but today is the first time they’re launched one that’s completely exclusive to Windows 10.
Named, Age of Cavemen, the game bares a lot of similarities to other titles like Clash of Clans and even Microsoft’s own Age of Empires: Castle Siege. Here’s the official description and trailer:
Age of Cavemen is a free-to-play multiplayer strategy game where the main goal of the player is to face the dangers of wild, prehistoric world as a village chief. Build the prosperous settlement, lead your army, create alliances and destroy your opponents! Network connection is required to play this game.
Age of Cavemen is completely free to play and download however it does come with a significant amount of content or bonus items that will cost real money to purchase. Despite being made exclusively for Windows 10, there is no Xbox Live connectivity which means no Xbox Achievements, which feels like a missed opportunity. It does feature cross-play between Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile which is nice to have but due to it being made for Windows 10, it’s unavailable on Windows phones running Windows Phone 8.1 and lower. Microsoft really needs to finish pushing out those Windows 10 Mobile OS upgrades soon.
We recently wrote about how the app situation on Windows devices has been improving recently. For a while, it seemed as if app parity would never come to Windows PCs and mobile devices but it looks like the tide may be turning.
