Majority of the top grossing apps in Australia were games save for the popular dating app, Tinder, and the music streaming app, Spotify. Facebook and its Messenger mobile messaging app both landed in the top 5 free apps in Australia.
Luke Graham’s 7 years was hailed as the top song while Drake’s Views edged out Justin Bieber’s Purpose and Adele’s 25 as album of the year. The popular TV show Game of Thrones bagged the 2016 best drama award.
