Android Marshmallow-based CM13 Nightlies for OnePlus 3 released: OnePlus rolls out OxygenOS 3.2.2 via OTA

Update OnePlus 3 with OxygenOS 3.2.2 or CM13 Nightlies: How to install and what are the changes?

OnePlus is constantly pushing software updates to its flagship OnePlus 3 smartphone to fix minor bugs and glitches in order to deliver an optimum user experience. Shortly after the Chinese smartphone maker rolled out OxygenOS 3.2.1 earlier this month, the next version of the software, OxygenOS 3.2.2, is already being sent over-the-air with notable upgrades.

OxygenOS 3.2.2 for OnePlus 3 started rolling out on Tuesday, the company confirmed in an official blog post. As per the changelog, the new software fixes the alert slider/silent mode issue, disables fingerprint sensor while in the pocket, adds NFC toggle in quick settings, and improved notification management in doze. The company also improved noise cancellation in video recording, updated 4K video recording codec and added the latest security patches along with various optimizations.

Since the OxygenOS 3.2.2 is being rolled out over-the-air, OnePlus 3 users will get a notification once the software is ready for download. Users can manually check if the software has arrived by going to Settings >¬†Software Updates. If you haven’t got the update yet, fret not as it will arrive soon.

OnePlus 3 users are also being treated with official support for CyanogenMod 13 as the nightly builds are available for users. The CM13 nightlies can be flashed on OnePlus 3 smartphones using the traditional flashing method, but users must be aware of the shortcomings of the nightly builds.

According to Android Beat, OnePlus 3’s Dash Charge is not supported by the custom build in its present form. CyanogenMod 13 build is also missing the post-processing applied by the stock camera app on OxygenOS, which affects the quality of the images shot on the device run by CM13.

Cyanogen is yet to iron out the bugs and the stable release of the software is expected to have all the missing features. Users can download the latest nightly builds of CM13 from CyanogenMod’s official website.
