Apple has launched a number of brand new products in recent time, including the new iPhone smartphones, the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. The company is also expected to launch even more devices within the next few months, including a new MacBook Pro and the a new iPad Mini. Despite the string of new product launches, some fans are now looking forward to next year’s offerings, more specifically the new generation iPad Pro, the Apple iPad Pro 2.
According to a recent report published by KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo (via Macrumors), Apple will, apparently, be making some “revolutionary changes” to the new performance tablet next year. The analyst predicts that Apple may be releasing a total of three variants of the Apple iPad Pro in 2017. The variants will include the large 12.9-inch iPad Pro, a possible 10.5-inch model, and a “low-cost” 9.7-inch model.
Among the changes that are being predicted by the analyst, one of the biggest changes will probably be on the device’s screen. The report predicts that Apple might be shifting toward using the latest AMOLED display technology, which should allow them to provide higher resolutions and image qualities.
Another big upgrade to the newer iPad Pro would be its Apple Pencil accessory. While the current Apple Pencil is quite useful for annotations and sketches, the new Apple Pencil for the next generation device could possibly be redesigned to be catering more towards professionals.
This would probably translate to a number of features integrated into the operating system that would make the pencil useful for drawings and writing in general. The current Apple Pencil is currently able to achieve similar tasks, but only with very specific apps. An integration of the Pencil into the new iOS 10 might be possible, with the stylus working with most natively installed applications out of the box.
