Reichert Bus chartered its way to the top of the standings in the men’s league at Cragun’s Legacy Courses July 7 with a 32-12 victory over US Bank.
Mike Toensing posted 8.5 points for Reichert, which stood second after the first week of the second half. Curt Baier Jr. and Adam Kalenberg posted eight points apiece for Reichert.
Shep’s on 6th moved into second place with a 29-15 win over Randall State Bank.
Halverson Law Office moved up to third with a 29-15 win over Paulson Insurance, which was last week’s third-place team.
Mills GM, which led after the opening round of the second half, slid to seventh place after a 27.5-16.5 loss to Big Wood which is now fourth.

Breezy Point women
Joan Burnett, Judy Jenson, Kathy McTague and Gloria Thomas teamed up to win the Breezy Point women’s golf league event July 7 at Whitebirch.
The team game used the best net score of the A or B player plus the best net score of the C or D player.
Tying for second place were the teams of Chris Bjornson, Ruth Klukow, Janie Pommer Sylvia Schmitt and the team of Polly Aumock, Joi Brandt, Bugs Schmidt & Sue Skinner.
Whitefish men
Terry Stansfield won the first flight in the Whitefish Men’s Golf League 9-hole, individual low net by flight event July 12.
Second flight winner was Richard Hansen. Third flight champion was Henry Duitsman.
Finishing second in the first flight was Tom Otteson. Second flight runner-up was Gary Kipling and Jim McKeehan was second in the third flight.
Third place in the first flight went to Darrell Swanson, in the second flight to Jim Rauenhorst and in the third flight Ross Kaleva
Closest to the pin were John Farrell and Steve Ogren. Longest putts were by Rocky Wilske and Henry Duitsman.

Madden’s women
The league will play a bingo, bango, bongo event Thursday, July 14 with a shotgun start at 5:30 p.m. and a $5 dinner special following in the 19th Hole.
Hole events will include longest putt on No. 5 and closest to pin on No. 8.
There is no charge for Madden’s golf members. Cost for non-members is $25 which includes nine holes and cart.
Punch card players may play nine holes before the shotgun at no additional charge. Tee times to play early rounds are from 2 to 2:30 p.m.
A 5-week punch card costs $105, a 12-week card is $230. You can purchase a 5- or 12-week card at registration.
There will be double points for women’s golf night milers club members—punch card rounds, member rounds and full price paid rounds only.

Finnerty wins PGA Junior event
Casey Finnerty of Crosby finished first overall and won the boys 13-15 age group by shooting 74 during the PGA Junior Tour event June 29 at Whitebirch Golf Club in Breezy Point.
Max Tangen, Breezy Point, placed sixth with an 86 in boys 16-18. Evan Quinn of Brainerd finished eighth with an 85, Cody Evans of East Gull Lake was 12th with an 88, Sam Sadlowsky of Aitkin and Keenan Dahl of Backus 13th with 89s, Henry Neva of Nisswa 15th with 90, Brendan Brill of Breezy Point 23rd at 100 and Hunter Nybakken of Breezy Point was 24th with 106.
Julia Wallace, Brainerd, was runner-up in girls 16-18 with an 88 and. Anna Krieger finished second in girls 13-15 with 98.
Muesing qualifies for state
Andrew Muesing of Baxter won the Junior PGA Championship Qualifier at Ruttger’s at Bay Lake with a 78 in the boys 16-18 division June 28. In the process, Muesing qualified for the state Junior PGA Championship July 12-13 at The Jewel Golf Club in Lake City.
Danny Olson of Nisswa finished fifth with an 86.
Erik Stoxen of East Gull Lake won boys 13-15 with a 75. Brady Raph of Pine River was second with 76, Sam Sadlowsky fifth with 94, Cole Proctor of Brainerd sixth with 98 and Keenan Dahl seventh with 111.
Raph finishes sixth
Brady Raph carded an 83 to finish sixth in the PGA Junior Tour event June 23 at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club in Sartell.
Erik Stoxen placed eighth with an 85 and Casey Finnerty ninth at 86.
Evans, Olson, Wallace win
Cody Evans, Danny Olson and Julia Wallace won their age groups during the PGA Junior Tour event June 17 at at Whitefish Golf Club in Pequot Lakes.
Evans shot 75 to finish first overall and paced the boys 13-15 division.
Olson won the boys 16-18 division with a 77.
Wallace shot 90 to win the girls 16-18 age group.
Also in boys 13-15, Brady Raph finished sixth at 84, Erik Stoxen seventh with 86, Sam Sadlowsky seventh at 86, Casey Finnerty ninth at 89, Henry Neva ninth at 89 and Cole Proctor 13th at 98.
Finnerty first overall
Casey Finnerty finished first overall and led the 13-15 division with a 79 during a MN PGA Junior Tour event June 13 at Crosswoods Golf Course in Crosslake.
In boys 16-18, Danny Olson shot 80 to win his age group.
Alsio in boys 13-15, Cody Evans finished fourth with an 85, Sam Sadlowsky was eighth with an 88, Henry Neva ninth at 89, Cole Proctor 17th at 103 and Brendan Brill 18th at 116.
Anna Krieger of Fifty Lakes shot 93 to win the girls 13-15 age group.

Klefsaas ties for 37th
Olivia Klefsaas of The Vintage at Staples tied for 37th place in the Minnesota Junior Girls State Championship July 5-6 at Chaska Town Course. She shot 88-94–182.
Taylor Ledwein of New Prague Golf Club won the championship, shooting 72-73–145. Kate Smith of Ironman Golf Club shot 77-69-146 to claim second. Grace Kellar of Olympic Hills Golf Club captured third shooting rounds of 69-79-148.
Holes-in-one
Mike Medearis, Pequot Lakes, aced the 126-yard 11th hole on Bobby’s at Cragun’s Legacy Courses July 9 with a 9-iron.
