iPad Mini 5 release date cancelled
Fans expected that the new iPad Mini 5 will be available to the public a year after iPad Mini 4 was launched in September 2015. However, there were no official announcements about the new product from Apple during its September 7 launching event, The USB Port reported.
Apple had another launching event called “Hello Again” last October, but once again, the company didn’t mention the iPad Mini 5. Evan Blass, who is a popular leakster even expected that Apple would launch the device last October.
iPad Mini 5 Rumored specs
According to rumors, the new iPad Mini 5 could have radical change, unlike how iPad mini 4 and the original iPad mini looks very similar. There are speculations that the new iPad Mini 5 could have a more conservative look with less noticeable improvements with its design, MacWorldreported.
There are also rumors that the new iPad mini 5 will be like the new iPad Air 3, which are expected to have an even thinner design. It is expected to be thinner than its predecessors, which are already at 6.1mm.
The new iPad Mini 5 could sport the 7000-series aluminium, which is what the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus have. This will make the new tablet durable and less prone to bending.
iPad Pro models have smart connectors, which connects them to keyboards. This feature is good for long-term typing and it would be a good idea if the new iPad Mini 5 will also have it.
The new iPad Mini 5 may feature a 8Mp quality camera and a 1.2Mp camera on the front. And it is expected to have the enhanced A9 processor.
Fans expected the iPad Mini 5 to be released on September. However, since it didn’t push through, there are speculations that Apple will change the name to iPad Pro Mini with an expected release date in March 2017.
