Following the tradition, Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao and his wife Shoba presented “silk vastrams” to Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple, Yadagirigutta here on Thursday.
The Kalanyam of presiding deity will be performed in the night, in which Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and his wife Vimala will take part. The Chief Minister flew in from Begumpet to Yadagirigutta in a chopper on Thursday morning.
He proceeded to the hill shrine by road from Vadaigudem helipad. On arrival the Chief Minister and his wife presented “Silk Vastrams” and participated in special pujas performed on their arrival.
Later, Mr. Rao held a meeting with officials of Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority (YTDA), Yadagirigutta Temple administration, and district administration to discuss about the progress of ongoing temple development works.
He also asked the authorities to expedite the works. The Chief Minister flew back to Hyderabad by 2 p.m. to attend the ongoing budget session of Assembly. The YTDA, Vice-chairman G. Kishan Rao, Principal Secretaries of various departments, District Collector P.Satyanarayana Reddy, Temple Executive Officer N.Geetha and others attended the meetin.
