South Korea smartphone company LG Electronic Inc announced on Monday that they are all set to launch a new premium smartphone from September, wishing the device will recover their disappointing sale after struggling from mobile business.
LG said that its new V20 device which is said to be the successor of the V10 that was launched in October last year will be the first device which features Google’s latest version of Android – Android Nougat at launch. The company did not reveal all other specification yet about the V20.
The company has two main premium series phone and its G5 phone rolled out in March, had below par sales following starting production difficulties. As a result of this, the South Korean company’s mobile business noted its fifth straight quarter of operating loss for April-June.
The company also mentioned last week the unveil of the new products, involving a successor to the V10, will help them to raise their performance in the third quarter. Rivals are also releasing the new headsets to market soon. Moreover, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd will launch its next Galaxy Note smartphone on Wednesday, while Apple Inc is said to unveil new iPhones in September.
