SUPER MARIO RUN may have been downloaded 90 million times, but Nintendo must surely make these changes if more people are to make a purchase.
Super Mario Run may have been downloaded by a huge number of people, but Nintendo must change the price ahead of the Android release date.
According to a new report, Super Mario Run was downloaded by a staggering 90 million people, but just 3% of fans went on to buy the full game.
Apple iOS App Store reviews have criticised the high price of the app, which at £7.99 is among the more expensive games on the store.
If Nintendo wants more people to download Super Mario Run in full, then surely a price cut is in order ahead of the Android release date.
The other major problem appears to be the inability to play offline, which means you can’t play without WiFi, or when you run out of your monthly data allowance.
It would also be nice if Nintendo released new content for the game, including brand new stages and items for the Kingdom Builder mode.
Unfortunately, however, Nintendo appears to have ruled out any new levels, although the company did launch the Friendly Run game mode.
The Friendly Run game mode lets you race against the ghosts of your friends in Toad Rally.
It doesn’t cost any Toad Rally tickets, but players can only play a limited number of times each day.
“The number of times you can play in a day is determined by the progress you have made in World Tour.”
You can play once if you haven’t cleared world one, three times when you have cleared world one, five times when you clear world two and so on.
Unfortunately, however, playing Friendly Run doesn’t increase the number of enemies defeated, coins and Toads.
Super Mario Run’s Android release date has taken one step closer to becoming a reality, after the app went live on Google Play.
Android users can now pre-register for Super Mario Run by visiting the Google Play store and inputting their details.
Nintendo announced as much on Twitter, telling fans that they’d be notified about the release date after they sign up.
“Attn Android users: Pre-Register now to be notified when the official #SuperMarioRun is available on Google Play,” reads the Nintendo tweet.
Unfortunately, however, the Super Mario Run Android release date remains a mystery, although it’s likely to be sooner rather than later now that it’s on Google Play.
