On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, TV celebs like Saurabh Pandey, Vahbbiz Dorabjee, Divyanka Tripathi, Ssharad Malhotraa and Aishwarya Sakhuja shared memories with their siblings.
Saurabh Pandey – Neha Pandey:
My sister Neha is the youngest and the most awesome amongst we three. She stays in Delhi and me and my brother Gaurav Pandey we are always far away in Mumbai and mostly we miss getting Rakhi tied by our sister. Every year she sends us the Rakhi through courier. Since it’s been long that our little sister has not tied Rakhi herself and we both plan to visit Delhi and surprise her and get Rakhi tied by her. Having Neha as my sister is the best gift she says the same for me having me as her brother.
Vahbbiz Dorabjee – Daniel Dorabjee:
The most memorable Rakshabandhan was last year when my brother took me out for shopping and then we lunched and spent the day together. I have such fond memories of spending time with him in my Pune home. It’s such a blessing to have a brother. Having a sibling is a necessity. One doesn’t feel lonely and is privileged to have a good company while growing up.
Divyanka Tripathi – Aishwarya Tripathi:
My brother is most kind and chivalrous boy that we could have brought up as he had three mothers- my mom, my sister and me. So you have to be ultra good after such nurturing, after such caring. The most memorable Raksha Bandhan was when I once went to Bhopal as I was missing my family. I threw a Rakhi party and all my cousins came together and it was like community rakhi celebration. The best gift I have received from my brother is the gift that he couriered me with his first salary after joining an airline.
Ssharad Malhotraa – Reema Pawa:
When I had got my first pay I had gifted her a smart phone. She got very emotional receiving on getting it and the very first call she made was to me. I was very touched and felt happy. Its a fantastic feeling to have a sister like her. We do argue at times but our emotional bond is very strong. Yhis year I am planning to buy some designer jewellery for her.
Aishwarya Sakhuja – Dr. Shyam Sakhuja:
The best thing about my brother is his selfless nature and unconditional acceptance of his friends and family. I love his super helpful nature and sensitivity. His childlike innocence is also rare. He is six years older to me but he actually never bullied me. Initially he was my biggest enemy but gradually we have developed a strong bond in last 13 years which is precious. He is not just my friend but also a parent and there are certain boundaries with him that I never cross because I really respect him from the bottom of my heart. He does not expect anything from anyone and that’s a rare quality. My most memorable rakhi was last year when I went to see him in Dubai. It was a surprise visit and he was happy to see me. This year the trip is not possible but thanks to technology we will talk over Skype call. Honestly my brother is my hero.
