So the Xbox One Spring Sale will pretty much last all spring! Microsoft has launched a special TV spot promoting the latest price cut for its gaming console, and providing more details along the way.
We first heard about this special discount last month.
March 18.
The offer went live on March 20, meaning the promotion is to run a full 40 days.
Which suggests that not only is Microsoft interested in generating a lot of extra sales for its console, but market watchers will also be keeping an eye on this big promotion to watch the effect it has on the NPD Group numbers of hardware sales for March and April.
If this is a success, there is a possibility that Redmond might make this price cut a permanent one at some point this year.
With a length of 30 seconds, this is a commercial clearly destined for TV screens.
The Spring Sale, of course, not only offers a healthy little discount of $50 (or €50) for the Xbox One gaming unit, but also brings an array of bundles into the mix, with games like The Division and the upcoming title Quantum Break.
Some wholesome deals to be had here.
And with Phil Spencer revealing that Microsoft is not currently interested in a new, more powerful model of the Xbox One, unlike the Sony PlayStation 4, the console needs all the momentum it can build right now.
